I really enjoy Medicuro. I like the flexibility in terms of when I work and how many patients I see each day. It’s a great way to supplement the income I get from my salaried job. The admin team are super helpful and friendly, as are the other doctors of Medicuro. I would recommend Medicuro to any of my colleagues. Last but not least, I believe that via Medicuro, I am helping people who find themselves in very trying situations.

Working with Medicuro has been a very valuable experience as an early career physician. It has offered an opportunity to provide a valuable healthcare service to our patients in a timely manner, in a time of long wait times and difficulty in accessing in-person care. It has been a very rewarding experience to date, working with patients from across the province, including many of our most rural and remote communities. As a physician, it has allowed me to build flexibility into my schedule, which has had a positive effect on my work–life balance and job satisfaction as well.

I use Medicuro to extend the geographical reach of my own family practice and to reach areas of the province which are particularly limited in access to healthcare. Offering longitudinal access provides the ability to manage appropriate conditions, such as chronic diseases, preventative care, and mental health. It is my hope that this helps to lessen the strain on local Category B facilities. Many of these patients make appointments to see me in person when they are passing through or visiting my own geographic homebase. Despite the limitations in some aspects of virtual care, I think patients appreciate the ability to connect with a familiar voice and face as needed.
