I use Medicuro to extend the geographical reach of my own family practice and to reach areas of the province which are particularly limited in access to healthcare. It is my hope that this helps to lessen the strain on local Category B facilities. Many of these patients make appointments to see me in person when they are passing through or visiting my own geographic homebase. Despite the limitations in some aspects of virtual care, I think patients appreciate the ability to connect with a familiar voice and face as needed.
